About this asset

This 3ds Max lounge chair features a minimalist black leather seat and backrest supported by a polished chrome tubular metal frame. Defined by its iconic tubular steel construction, this lounge chair highlights the principles of early modern industrial design. It features a continuous chrome-plated frame that forms both the base and the armrests, creating a lightweight yet sturdy silhouette. The seat, backrest, and armrests are composed of taut black leather straps, providing a firm and supportive seating experience. The proportions are balanced, with a low profile that emphasizes horizontal lines, making it an ideal choice for spaces requiring clean, geometric forms that do not visually clutter the room's overall composition.

The download is a 7.8 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is managed as a single object with organized sub-materials for the leather and metal components. Users should ensure the chrome material is assigned to the frame geometry to accurately reflect the environment in final renders. The model uses standard scaling, allowing for easy placement within a scene. When integrating into a larger project, adjusting the leather's specular highlights and the metal's reflection glossiness will help match the specific lighting conditions of your interior visualization.

This lounge chair is well-suited for high-end residential living rooms, executive office waiting areas, or boutique hotel lobbies. Its minimalist aesthetic pairs effectively with other mid-century modern or industrial-inspired furniture, such as glass-topped coffee tables or low-profile sideboards. Professionals often search for this piece when designing gallery-style spaces or minimalist interiors that require a classic, recognizable silhouette. It acts as a focal point in a seating arrangement, particularly when paired with a matching ottoman or placed alongside a floor lamp.
