About this asset

A rectangular deep blue shag rug for 3ds Max, featuring a high-pile, textured surface ideal for adding warmth and depth to interior scenes. This rectangular floor covering presents a deep blue, high-pile shag texture that adds significant visual weight and tactile interest to a space. The surface is characterised by irregular, dense tufting that creates a naturalistic play of light and shadow, mimicking the appearance of a plush, modern carpet. Its clean, geometric rectangular form is designed to sit flat within a 3D environment, providing a grounding element that complements a variety of contemporary furniture styles. The uniform, saturated blue colour provides a bold accent, suitable for monochromatic or high-contrast interior design schemes.

The download is a 4 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this rug into a 3ds Max scene, ensure the plane is correctly scaled to match the surrounding floor area. The file is best utilised by applying a displacement or bump map to enhance the apparent depth of the shag pile, if not already pre-configured. Users should verify that the material mapping is set to real-world scale to prevent texture tiling artifacts. It is recommended to place this asset on a dedicated layer to manage scene complexity effectively during lighting and rendering.

This rug is suited for residential living rooms, bedrooms, or luxury hotel suites where a plush, soft-touch aesthetic is required. It pairs well with minimalist or contemporary furniture arrangements, such as low-profile sofas and sleek coffee tables, to soften the overall composition of a room. Professionals searching for floor-finishing assets will find this model useful for adding comfort to interior visualisations. It acts as a focal point in design presentations, helping to define zones within open-plan spaces through texture and colour contrast.
