Contemporary Beige Velvet Curved Armchair with Dark Wood Legs

This contemporary 3ds Max armchair features a curved, beige velvet seat supported by dark wood legs with metallic gold-tone feet. Defined by its organic, barrel-back silhouette, this armchair offers a seamless transition from the high, rounded backrest to the integrated armrests. The upholstery is a soft-touch beige velvet, providing a tactile finish that contrasts with the structural base. The frame consists of four tapered legs in a deep, dark wood finish, each capped with a subtle metallic gold-tone ferrule. Its proportions are compact yet inviting, making it suitable for intimate seating arrangements. The seat cushion is integrated into the shell, maintaining a clean, uninterrupted profile that emphasises the fluid geometry of the design.

The download is a 4.4 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate this asset into a 3ds Max scene, merge the file and check the pivot point, which is typically centered at the base for ease of placement. The velvet material uses standard texture mapping, requiring adjustment of the tiling if the scale is modified. Ensure the light setup accounts for the velvet's subtle sheen, as the material parameters may need refinement depending on the render engine used. The object is organised by layers, allowing for easy selection of the frame and upholstery components.
