About this asset

This contemporary double-layer fabric curtain model for SketchUp features a white sheer base layer and brown solid side panels with tie-backs. This window treatment set consists of a dual-layer drapery system designed for interior application. The rear layer is a full-width white sheer fabric with consistent vertical pleating, providing a light, diffuse aesthetic. The front layer comprises two solid brown panels pulled back to the sides, secured by matching tie-backs that create elegant, soft folds. The geometry captures the natural drape and weight of the textile, with the curtains extending from a concealed header rail. The brown panels offer a distinct contrast to the lighter sheer layer, suitable for layered window compositions in residential settings.

The download is a 7.4 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When importing this SketchUp component, ensure the model is placed on a dedicated layer for window treatments to manage visibility effectively. The curtains are scaled as a single object; use the scale tool to adjust the width and height to fit specific window openings while maintaining the integrity of the pleats. Apply high-resolution textures to the fabric surfaces to enhance realism during rendering. The model is optimized for quick insertion into architectural scenes as a finished, decorative element for framing views.

These curtains are ideal for residential bedrooms, living areas, and hotel guest rooms where a layered window look is required. They pair effectively with contemporary interiors, balancing softness with structured, neutral tones. Professionals can search for these using terms like double-layered drapes, fabric window treatments, or decorative curtain sets. The asset is intended for use in the final stages of interior visualization to add depth and texture to room scenes, effectively softening the transition between internal spaces and exterior views.
