About this asset

This contemporary double-layer fabric curtain model for SketchUp features a white sheer and purple drapes mounted on a metal rod. This window treatment assembly comprises a dual-track system featuring a solid, opaque purple curtain paired with a translucent white sheer. The design utilizes a pinch-pleat header style for both layers, providing a structured, formal drape that falls naturally to the floor. The entire set is suspended from a classic metallic curtain rod with ornate finials at either end. The fabric textures are distinct, with the purple panels exhibiting a subtle weave pattern, while the white sheer maintains a smooth, lightweight appearance suitable for diffusing natural light in residential or hospitality interiors.

In SketchUp, this component is organized for straightforward placement against wall openings or window frames. Users should scale the model to match specific opening widths while maintaining the integrity of the pleat geometry. The curtain and rod are typically grouped, allowing for easy adjustment of the rod height or repositioning of the entire assembly within the model hierarchy. Material mapping is applied consistently, enabling quick texture swaps or colour adjustments to suit specific interior design palettes and lighting conditions.

These curtains are ideal for residential bedrooms, living rooms, and hotel suites where a layered window treatment is required for both privacy and light control. They pair effectively with contemporary or traditional interior styles, adding softness to rigid architectural spaces. Designers often search for these assets when specifying window dressings for high-end residential projects or hospitality fit-outs. They are particularly useful during the interior detailing phase to enhance the realism of daylighting studies and interior renders by providing realistic textile depth.
