About this asset

This SketchUp portrait painting features a classic oil-style subject enclosed in a black frame with an integrated picture light. This asset presents a vertical portrait painting depicting a figure holding an owl, rendered in a classic, moody style with heavy chiaroscuro. The artwork is housed within a slim, minimalist black frame that includes a white inner matting for contrast. Mounted directly above the frame is a small, functional picture light fixture in a metallic finish, designed to cast a focused beam downward onto the canvas. The geometry is clean and simple, focusing on the visual representation of the painting and the distinct silhouette of the overhead lighting element.

The download is a 1.5 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this asset into a SketchUp model, place the component directly against a vertical wall surface. Use the native move and rotate tools to align the frame flush with the wall plane. Since the light is part of the component, ensure the orientation allows the light cone to project correctly. You may need to adjust the material texture of the painting if a custom image is required, or simply scale the entire component to fit your specific interior elevation requirements.

This framed portrait is suitable for residential living rooms, home libraries, or luxury hotel corridors where a focal point is required. It pairs well with traditional or transitional interior schemes, particularly when placed above a console table or a fireplace mantel. Designers searching for wall-mounted decor, gallery-style lighting, or classic portraiture will find this asset useful for adding character to rendered walls. It is an effective solution for staging spaces during the concept development or final presentation stages of a project.
