About this asset

This contemporary white fabric area rug with a black outline is a SketchUp model featuring an irregular, organic floor covering. This area rug features an organic, amoeba-like shape defined by a minimalist aesthetic. It is finished in a clean, off-white fabric, accented by a continuous, hand-drawn style black outline that traces the perimeter of the form. The rug lies completely flat, presenting a low-profile silhouette suitable for layering in interior spaces. Its soft, flowing geometry contrasts with the rigid lines of surrounding furniture, providing a focal point that is both simple and visually distinct. The model is a singular object, intended for placement directly onto floor surfaces within a 3D environment.

The download is a 67.2 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is managed as a single component or group, allowing for easy placement and scaling. Users should ensure the rug is positioned slightly above the floor geometry to prevent Z-fighting. The fabric texture is applied as a standard material, which can be easily swapped or adjusted within the material editor to match specific project requirements. Its simple geometry makes it ideal for populating scenes without significantly increasing poly count, maintaining performance in larger interior models.

This rug belongs in modern residential living rooms, bedrooms, or play areas where an organic, softer aesthetic is desired. It pairs effectively with contemporary lounge chairs, low-profile sofas, and minimalist decor sets. Professionals often search for this asset when styling casual, bright interiors or neutral-toned spaces that require a subtle graphic element. It is a versatile choice for concept design through to final visualization, adding a sense of comfort and human scale to rendered residential floor plans and interior perspectives.
