About this asset

This 3ds Max model features a pair of neoclassical fluted columns with ionic capitals, rendered in a clean, neutral finish. These decorative columns feature the iconic volute detailing characteristic of the Ionic order, paired with a slender, fluted shaft that tapers slightly toward the top. The base is simple and stepped, providing a stable visual foundation. The capitals include a square abacus and the signature scroll-like volutes, offering a refined, traditional aesthetic suitable for formal interiors or exterior porticos. Each column is rendered with precise geometry to capture the shadow lines of the fluting, ensuring realistic light interaction. This set of two provides a balanced architectural solution for framing openings, entryways, or defining interior zones.

The download is a 6.1 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model holding 2 separate objects, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Users can easily adjust the height through standard scaling tools if the proportions need to suit specific ceiling heights. The geometry is clean, allowing for straightforward material application, whether applying a standard plaster finish, stone texture, or a custom paint colour. Ensure the pivot points are set to the base for precise placement against floor plans or wall alignments.

These columns are ideal for high-end residential projects, hotel lobbies, and formal reception areas where a touch of classical elegance is required. They pair well with marble flooring, ornate crown mouldings, or grand fireplace surrounds to reinforce a cohesive neoclassical or traditional interior design scheme. Professionals searching for architectural detailing, classical building components, or formal interior accents will find these assets useful for visualising grand spaces, entry halls, and gallery-style corridors during the concept development and final render stages of a project.
