About this asset

This SketchUp model features a set of two natural wood bunk beds, showcasing distinct ladder designs and integrated storage shelving. This set consists of two distinct bunk bed configurations crafted from light-toned timber, exhibiting a clean, modern aesthetic. One unit features an angled, integrated wooden ladder with vertical slats on the head and foot boards, providing a traditional bunk profile. The second unit is designed with a vertical metal ladder, side-mounted shelving for books or decor, and a lower trundle drawer base, offering enhanced functionality. Both beds are shown with simple mattresses and minimalist bedding, demonstrating a practical approach to shared bedroom layouts where floor space is at a premium.

The download is a 46.4 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 2 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate these bunk beds into a project, import the components into your SketchUp scene as a grouped object to preserve the geometry hierarchy. Use the scale tool to adjust for specific room dimensions if necessary, ensuring the axes remain aligned with the floor plane. Apply materials by editing the existing textures in the materials panel to better suit your project's specific wood finish, and ensure the model is placed on a dedicated layer for efficient visibility management during the design process.

These bunk bed assets are ideal for residential design projects, particularly in kids' rooms, shared bedrooms, or vacation home interiors where space-saving furniture is required. They pair well with neutral colour palettes and light wood flooring, fitting seamlessly into contemporary or scandinavian-inspired interiors. Use these models during the schematic design or development phase to demonstrate space planning and furniture layouts in high-density living environments.
