About this asset

This collection of eight contemporary fabric rugs for SketchUp features diverse geometric and abstract patterns in various colourways. This set contains eight distinct area rugs, including six rectangular formats and two circular designs. The collection showcases a variety of surface motifs, ranging from intricate monochrome mandalas and bold black-and-white geometric triangles to subtle linear textures and soft grey-toned patterns. One piece features a vibrant red-and-grey grid, while others lean into muted beige and charcoal palettes. Each rug is rendered as a flat, low-profile textile element suitable for interior floor planes. The variation in shape and graphic style provides options for layering or defining specific zones within a digital interior environment.

The download is a 9.7 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 8 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Within SketchUp, these rugs are best deployed as flat components placed directly onto floor geometry. Users can easily swap textures or scale the individual models to fit specific room dimensions without compromising the underlying geometry. Ensure the face normals are oriented upwards to prevent rendering artifacts, and consider applying a slight displacement map if higher realism is required for close-up camera angles.

These rugs are essential for styling residential living areas, bedrooms, and boutique hospitality spaces where visual interest is required at the floor level. They pair well with minimalist or contemporary furniture, acting as a focal point to anchor seating groups or dining arrangements. Professionals often search for these assets when creating mood boards or final presentation renders, requiring versatile floor coverings that define space. They are particularly useful for adding texture and colour to neutral interior schemes in both residential and light commercial projects.
