About this asset

This modern children's play area scene for SketchUp features a multicolour ball pit, modular house-shaped storage, and cloud lighting. The scene comprises a low-profile ball pit with a terrazzo-style edge, filled with a dense collection of white, grey, orange, and blue spheres. Behind the pit, a modular house-shaped storage unit provides open and closed compartments for toys and books. The composition is accented by wall-mounted tree silhouettes and soft, cloud-shaped pendant lights that provide ambient illumination. Materials consist of light-toned wood veneers for the cabinetry and durable plastics for the ball pit components. The overall aesthetic is playful and functional, designed specifically for early-years environments and residential playrooms.

The download is a 81.4 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this scene is organised into distinct groups for the ball pit, storage units, and lighting elements, allowing for easy selection and modification. Users can adjust the scale of the individual components to fit specific floor plans or replace the materials on the storage units using the standard paint bucket tool. The lighting components are modelled as simple geometry which can be converted into emissive materials for rendering purposes within common third-party plugins.

This asset is suitable for residential design projects, nursery interiors, and educational facility planning. It functions well as a focal point in a playroom or a dedicated children's corner within a larger living space. Designers searching for indoor recreation equipment, modular toy storage, or themed kids' room decor will find this scene useful for conceptual layouts. It pairs effectively with soft rugs, foam seating, and neutral wall treatments to create a balanced, engaging environment for young children.
