About this asset

This collection of six contemporary rectangular rugs for SketchUp features a variety of monochrome geometric and abstract patterns. This set includes six distinct rectangular area rugs, each rendered with a unique monochromatic graphic motif. The patterns range from bold, high-contrast grid lines and interlocking circular geometries to subtle, fine-lined abstract designs and a neutral, textured solid-weave option. These rugs are presented as flat, low-profile textile elements, suitable for layering over existing floor finishes in a model. The palette is strictly confined to whites, greys, and blacks, ensuring versatility across various interior styles. Each rug maintains a consistent rectangular proportion, designed to define seating areas or circulation paths within a room.

The download is a 54.8 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 6 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, these rugs are best utilized as individual components within a dedicated layer or tag for floor finishes. Users can easily scale these models to fit specific room dimensions or furniture layouts. Applying high-resolution fabric textures to the surfaces will enhance visual realism in final renders. It is recommended to place these slightly above the floor plane to avoid Z-fighting, ensuring a clean intersection with the underlying finish materials.

These rugs are essential for adding warmth and visual interest to residential living rooms, bedrooms, and hospitality lobby spaces. They pair effectively with modern furniture, serving as a grounding element beneath sofas, coffee tables, or dining sets. Designers frequently search for these assets when curating floor plans for interior design projects or staging architectural visualizations. They provide a quick, effective way to introduce texture and pattern into minimalist or contemporary interior schemes without overwhelming the primary architectural features of a space.
