About this asset

This contemporary curved sofa, modelled for 3ds Max, features grey velvet upholstery and a polished brass frame with decorative accent cushions. Defined by a sweeping, crescent-shaped silhouette, this sofa offers a sophisticated profile for high-end interiors. The frame is encased in a polished brass surround that follows the curved backrest, providing a metallic contrast to the soft, grey velvet upholstery. Tapered metal legs in a matching brass finish support the structure. The piece includes a curated selection of accent cushions in varied textures and tones, including solid velvet, houndstooth, and plaid patterns, which add depth to the neutral base. The construction emphasises clean lines and a refined material palette, suitable for formal lounge areas.

The download is a 22.1 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into a 3ds Max scene, ensure the native material definitions are mapped correctly to your preferred render engine. The object is typically provided as a single editable mesh or group; use the pivot point at the base for precise placement on floor surfaces. Adjust the cushion placement as needed to suit specific camera angles. Maintain the provided layer structure to easily toggle the decorative pillows on or off depending on the desired level of detail for your interior visualisation.

This sofa is ideal for luxury residential projects, boutique hotel lobbies, or high-end showroom displays. Its curved geometry makes it a natural focal point for circular seating arrangements or as a standalone statement piece in a contemporary living room. Architects and designers often specify this type of seating when looking to soften angular floor plans or create intimate conversation areas. It pairs well with minimalist coffee tables, textured area rugs, and brass-finished floor lamps, enhancing the overall aesthetic of a sophisticated, modern space.
