About this asset

This contemporary SketchUp bookshelf features an open-shelf display combined with lower rattan-panelled cabinet storage. This large-scale storage unit is constructed from a light-toned wood, featuring a symmetrical composition of three vertical sections. The upper portions provide four levels of open shelving, ideal for decorative objects and books. The lower section is enclosed by six cabinet doors, each finished with a textured rattan cane-webbing infill, providing a subtle contrast in material and pattern. The clean, linear frame maintains a minimalist aesthetic, while the organic weave of the cabinet doors adds warmth and tactile interest to the overall design, making it a versatile piece for various interior styles.

The download is a 127 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is organised into logical groups, allowing for easy placement and adjustment within a project. The wood and rattan textures are mapped for straightforward material editing or replacement. Users can scale the unit to fit specific wall dimensions or adjust the shelf spacing as required. Proper use of layers or tags is recommended to manage the high level of detail in the included decorative props, ensuring the viewport remains responsive during the design development phase.

This bookshelf is suited for residential living rooms, home offices, or high-end retail displays requiring elegant storage solutions. It pairs well with neutral palettes, indoor plants, and soft textiles, fitting seamlessly into contemporary or japandi-inspired interiors.
