About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max sofa features a sweeping curved form upholstered in smooth beige leather with a set of decorative scatter cushions. Defined by an organic, asymmetrical silhouette, this curved sofa offers a fluid aesthetic suitable for modern lounge spaces. The frame is finished in a neutral beige leather, providing a soft, continuous surface that emphasizes its rounded geometry. It is supported by low-profile, dark timber feet that ground the piece. Included are four scatter cushions in varying textures and colours—specifically deep blue, textured white, and solid black—along with a patterned throw draped over the right side, adding depth and contrast to the minimalist, clean-lined design of the main seating structure.

The download is a 6.5 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into 3ds Max, ensure the object is placed at the correct floor level using the snap tool. The cushions and throw are separate mesh elements, allowing for easy repositioning or removal to suit specific composition requirements. Apply standard material overrides if necessary to match the scene's lighting environment, and utilize the native layer system to keep the upholstery and frame geometry organized for efficient viewport management during the rendering setup process.

This curved sofa is ideal for high-end residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or contemporary apartment interiors where a statement seating piece is required. Its fluid shape works exceptionally well in open-plan areas to create soft zoning, pairing naturally with low-profile coffee tables or circular rugs. Architects and interior designers often specify this type of furniture for projects requiring a sophisticated, soft-edged aesthetic that breaks up the rigid lines of traditional rectangular floor plans and modern architectural finishes.
