Modern Grey Wood Integrated Desk and Shelving Unit

This modern SketchUp model features a grey wood integrated desk and shelving unit, complete with a brown upholstered chair. The assembly comprises a tall, vertical shelving unit finished in a grey wood grain, featuring an asymmetric grid of open compartments. A cantilevered desk surface extends from the lower section of the shelving, supported by a single slender leg. Accompanying the unit is a contemporary chair with a brown fabric-upholstered shell and a black metal four-leg base. The set includes various decorative accessories, including books, vases, and a small decorative feline sculpture, which provide a sense of scale and materiality to the composition. The overall design prioritises clean lines and a compact, multifunctional footprint.

The download is a 70.3 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 3 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is organised into logical groups, allowing for easy placement and modification of individual components such as the chair or decorative objects. Users should check the component axes and layer structure upon import to ensure smooth integration into a larger room model. The textures are mapped to standard faces, making it straightforward to swap materials or adjust the wood grain orientation to match specific project requirements. Lighting can be refined by adjusting the model's global orientation relative to the sun settings.
