About this asset

This modern double-layer fabric curtain model for SketchUp features a neutral grey and white palette with natural, soft pleating. This window treatment assembly consists of a dual-layer curtain system suspended from a simple, minimalist horizontal rod. The set includes a pair of opaque grey outer drapes and a pair of sheer white inner curtains. The geometry captures detailed, soft vertical folds and realistic gathers, with one side elegantly tied back to create a sense of movement. The fabric texture appears lightweight and flowing, providing a clean aesthetic suitable for contemporary interiors. The entire assembly is scaled as a single unit, including the rod, rings, and the fabric panels themselves.

The download is a 13.4 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When integrating this model into a SketchUp project, ensure the curtain component is placed on a dedicated layer for easy visibility control. Users can scale the width and height of the assembly to match specific window openings, though care should be taken to maintain the proportions of the pleats. The materials are applied as standard textures; these can be adjusted or replaced with custom fabric maps to better suit specific lighting conditions or interior colour schemes within the native environment.

These curtains are well-suited for high-end residential projects, hotel suites, or luxury apartment visualisations where soft window dressings are required to add warmth. They pair effectively with minimalist or contemporary furniture arrangements in living rooms and bedrooms. Professionals searching for drapery assets will find this model useful for adding depth and realism to interior scenes, particularly when rendering views that require a soft, lived-in aesthetic. The neutral grey and white palette ensures compatibility with a wide range of interior design styles.
