About this asset

A 3ds Max sideboard in walnut timber featuring fluted glass sliding doors and an integrated pegboard, ideal for modern kitchen spaces. This mid-century inspired sideboard functions as a compact kitchen station, crafted from warm-toned walnut wood. The unit features a dual-level design: an upper section with sliding fluted glass doors for display, and a lower base with two drawers and a pair of fluted glass cupboards. A central open area includes a black pegboard back panel for versatile tool storage. The piece is elevated on slender tapered legs, providing a lightweight aesthetic. Detailed with small kitchen appliances and stacked books, the model offers a complete, ready-to-use storage solution for contemporary interiors.

The download is a 101 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised into logical layers for easy manipulation of the glass, timber, and metal components. Users should ensure all textures are correctly mapped upon import, particularly the fluted glass material, which may require specific refraction settings to achieve the intended transparency. The unit can be easily scaled to fit specific kitchen dimensions, and the included appliance assets can be toggled on or off depending on the desired level of clutter in the final render.

This sideboard is suitable for residential kitchen design, dining rooms, or home office break-out spaces. It works effectively in projects requiring a retro-modern aesthetic, pairing well with mid-century dining sets or minimalist kitchen cabinetry. Professionals often search for this type of furniture when specifying coffee stations, bar units, or general dining room storage. It is particularly useful during the concept and development stages for adding realistic detail to interior visualisations of open-plan living areas or small urban apartments.
