Modern Black Timber Work Desk with Chair Set

This modern black timber work desk set for 3ds Max features a sleek rectangular surface supported by a light wood cross-frame base. The desk features a substantial, thick-profile rectangular top finished in a matte black surface. It is supported by a distinctive, light-toned timber base with a crisscross leg structure connected by a horizontal stretcher for stability. Accompanied by a single minimalist chair with a contoured wooden seat and slender metal legs, the set includes an array of desktop accessories such as a vintage-style typewriter, a stack of books, and a small task lamp with a yellow sticky note. The juxtaposition of the dark, solid desk top against the organic wood base creates a refined aesthetic.

The download is a 70.1 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised into logical layers, allowing for easy separation of the desk, chair, and individual desktop accessories. Users should inspect the pivot points for the chair and desk to ensure correct placement on the floor plane. The materials are mapped with standard textures, which can be easily adjusted or replaced to suit specific lighting conditions or render engine requirements. Scaling the objects as a group maintains the proportional relationship between the desk and the chair for accurate spatial planning.
