About this asset

This minimalist wall-mounted shelf set for 3ds Max features four natural wood floating shelves styled with curated books and decor. This set consists of four individual horizontal wall shelves rendered in a warm, natural wood finish. The design is straightforward and utilitarian, intended to be mounted in a vertical stack to create a cohesive storage feature. Each shelf is populated with a variety of accessories, including stacks of books, small ceramic pots with indoor plants, and decorative bowls. The proportions are balanced to provide a light, airy feel suitable for modern interiors. The wood grain texture is consistent across all four elements, providing a grounded, organic aesthetic that complements various interior colour palettes and styles.

The download is a 33.7 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model holding 4 separate objects, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate this asset into a 3ds Max scene, merge the file and align the shelves to the desired wall surface using standard snapping tools. The model is organised by layers, allowing for the easy removal or rearrangement of the decorative props if a cleaner look is required. Ensure the texture maps are correctly linked in the material editor to maintain the wood grain integrity. Use an HDRI environment map to capture the subtle highlights on the ceramic objects and the natural wood surface finish.

These floating shelves are ideal for residential living rooms, home offices, or study nooks where vertical storage is required without the bulk of a floor-standing unit. They pair well with contemporary interior schemes, adding warmth and texture to plain wall surfaces. Designers can use these as a pre-styled focal point in visualisation projects for apartments or minimalist homes.
