About this asset

This comprehensive SketchUp model set features classic Greek and Roman columns and decorative ornaments in a plaster and wood finish. This collection provides a wide variety of classical architectural elements, including twelve distinct column designs and seven ornate wall carvings. The columns range from simple fluted shafts to those featuring complex Corinthian and Ionic capitals, paired with matching bases. The wall ornaments include rosettes, scrolls, and decorative brackets, all rendered with sharp, traditional details. The components are finished in a contrasting palette of white plaster shafts and warm, natural-wood-toned capitals and bases, allowing for a clear visual distinction between the structural and decorative elements of each piece within the set.

The download is a 126 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 19 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, these components are organised as individual objects, allowing for easy selection and placement within your model. You can use the Move and Rotate tools to position these columns and ornaments precisely against structural walls or as freestanding features. If needed, you can explode the components to adjust the material mapping or scale individual elements to fit specific architectural heights.

These classical elements are ideal for high-end residential, hotel lobby, or retail showroom projects where a traditional, neoclassical, or luxury aesthetic is required. They serve well for detailing grand entrances, fireplace surrounds, or decorative wall panelling. Professionals can easily search for these as 'classical columns', 'architectural mouldings', or 'ornamental wall decor' to enhance the historical character of a space. They pair effectively with marble flooring, heavy drapery, and period-appropriate furniture to complete a sophisticated, historically informed interior design scheme.
