Minimalist Grey Concrete and Walnut Wall-Mounted Bookshelf

This minimalist wall-mounted bookshelf for 3ds Max features a sleek grey concrete top surface paired with a warm walnut wood frame. The unit presents a clean, horizontal profile consisting of a solid walnut-toned timber carcass divided into five open compartments. A substantial slab of grey concrete forms the continuous top surface, providing a textural contrast to the timber interior. The design is intended for wall-mounted installation, creating a floating aesthetic. Included in the composition are several potted indoor plants and a collection of books, which occupy the shelf space to demonstrate scale and utility. The geometry is straightforward, focusing on clean lines and the juxtaposition of raw, industrial materials with natural wood grain.

The download is a 142 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is structured with logical layer separation for the timber carcass, concrete top, and accessory items. Users can easily toggle the visibility of the decorative books and plants to suit specific scene requirements. The materials use standard mapping, allowing for quick adjustments to the concrete texture or wood grain orientation. When integrating into a project, align the back plane of the unit with the wall geometry and adjust the global scale as necessary to fit the interior elevation.

This piece works effectively in contemporary living rooms, home offices, or media areas where a low-profile storage solution is required. It serves as an excellent focal point above a low sideboard or desk, providing both display and functional storage. Professionals often use this type of asset for residential interior visualisations to add a lived-in, curated feel to minimalist spaces. It pairs well with other walnut-finished furniture and neutral wall treatments, bridging the gap between industrial design and modern residential comfort.
