About this asset

This collection of minimalist fabric rugs for SketchUp includes varied round and rectangular floor coverings in neutral tones. This collection features four distinct rug designs, comprising two circular rugs with different weave textures and two rectangular mats. The circular options include a dark brown braided-style piece and a lighter grey shaggy or pile-textured rug. The rectangular pieces feature a flat, clean-edged design, one with a wood-grain pattern and one in a solid, crisp white finish. These items are designed to be placed directly onto floor surfaces, providing softness and visual interest to interior spaces. The set offers a versatile range of textures and shapes suitable for various living environments.

The download is a 132 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 4 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, these rugs function as individual components that can be easily scaled or re-positioned to suit specific room layouts. Users should ensure they are placed slightly above the floor geometry to avoid z-fighting during rendering. The materials are pre-applied, but can be swapped or adjusted within the material editor to match specific project colour schemes. These assets are lightweight and efficient for populating residential scenes without impacting viewport performance.

These rugs are ideal for interior design projects, specifically for styling living rooms, bedrooms, and children's play areas. They pair effectively with modern furniture, providing a soft contrast to hard surfaces like timber or tile flooring. Architects and visualisers will find them useful when staging residential interiors for client presentations or final renders. Search for these items when looking for floor decor, textile accessories, or area rugs to add warmth and detail to a floor plan.
