Mid-Century Walnut and Rattan TV Cabinet

This mid-century walnut and rattan TV cabinet is a 3ds Max model featuring a refined timber frame and textured cane door panels. This media console showcases a warm walnut-toned finish with a balanced, low-profile silhouette. The design incorporates two side-hinged cabinets featuring inset circular-patterned rattan mesh, providing a tactile, organic contrast to the solid timber structure. A central open shelf sits above two integrated drawers, offering functional storage for media equipment and accessories. The unit is supported by four characteristic tapered splayed legs, reinforcing its mid-century aesthetic. Every joint and surface transition is precisely modelled to reflect high-quality joinery, ensuring the piece maintains its authentic appearance across various lighting conditions and camera angles.

The download is a 7 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised with logical layer naming to facilitate easy manipulation of the cabinet components. Users can manage the wood grain orientation through standard UVW mapping modifiers. The rattan texture is applied as a separate material ID, allowing for individual adjustments to glossiness or reflection values without affecting the primary timber frame. The model includes a clean geometry, making it suitable for integration into larger interior scenes without excessive overhead, and it supports standard scene lighting workflows.
