Mid-Century Natural Wood Armchair with Cane Detailing

This mid-century style armchair SketchUp model features a natural wood frame with distinct rattan cane seat and backrest inserts. This armchair showcases a classic mid-century aesthetic, defined by its clean, angular timber frame and splayed leg geometry. The design prioritises structural simplicity, with a rectangular backrest and seat panel both featuring woven rattan cane inserts. The light-toned wood grain provides a warm, organic texture that contrasts with the geometric precision of the frame. The armrests are integrated seamlessly into the front leg structure, creating a cohesive, architectural silhouette. Every component is rendered with attention to the joinery, reflecting a minimalist approach to traditional furniture construction techniques suitable for high-end interior visualisations.

Within SketchUp, this model is structured as a clean component, facilitating easy placement and manipulation within your scene. Apply your preferred wood grain textures to the frame geometry and utilise procedural materials for the rattan mesh to achieve realistic light penetration. The model is scaled for standard ergonomic use, making it straightforward to drop into residential floor plans or interior elevations. Ensure your material library is mapped correctly to the UVs to maintain the integrity of the wood grain across the frame members.
