About this asset

This Japanese-style dark wood tea table set for 3ds Max features a formal rectangular table, three upholstered stools, and decor. This tea table set exhibits a refined Japanese aesthetic, constructed from dark-toned timber with distinct wood grain. The rectangular table features a minimalist frame with slender legs and an integrated side storage unit containing small drawers with metallic pulls. Included are three low, cylindrical stools upholstered in a neutral beige fabric with visible stitched detailing and dark wood tops. The set is accessorised with a tea service, a small potted plant, and a stack of books, all arranged on a grey fabric runner, contributing to a calm, contemplative atmosphere.

The download is a 15.8 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model holding 4 separate objects, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Users can import this 3ds Max set to quickly populate interior scenes. The objects are grouped logically, allowing for easy placement within a room layout. Designers should ensure the pivot points are correctly set at the base for efficient positioning on floor planes. Materials are assigned to individual components, permitting adjustments to the wood finish or fabric textures to suit specific project palettes. Lighting the scene with a soft, natural HDRI will highlight the subtle material contrasts between the dark wood and neutral upholstery.

This tea table set is ideal for residential living rooms, dedicated tea rooms, or boutique hospitality spaces such as high-end hotels and meditation retreats. It serves as a focal point for social or ceremonial gatherings, pairing well with shoji screens, tatami flooring, or modern neutral interiors. Professionals searching for oriental-inspired furnishings or minimalist low-profile seating will find this asset suitable for projects requiring an authentic, tranquil character. It is particularly effective for interior visualisations where a specific cultural narrative is desired.
