About this asset

This 3ds Max set features a Japanese-style bonsai tree, stone lantern, and assorted garden flora to populate serene exterior scenes. The collection comprises a large, weathered ceramic planter containing a sculpted bonsai tree with a dark, textured trunk and detailed foliage. Accompanying pieces include a traditional stone lantern in a classic pedestal form, several natural-looking grey stones, and a selection of small ground-cover plants and succulents. The set also includes an additional cylindrical container with a ribbed top detail. Each component is modelled to reflect organic textures, from the rough grain of the stone lantern to the fine leaf structure of the bonsai, providing a cohesive aesthetic for zen-inspired landscaping projects.

The download is a 132 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model holding 10 separate objects, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this set is organised for efficient scene assembly. Users can merge the assets into their main project file, where each element is grouped for easy placement and scaling. Best practice involves placing these objects on a dedicated layer within the scene to manage viewport performance. Materials are mapped to allow for adjustments in reflectance or colouration to suit specific lighting conditions, ensuring the vegetation integrates seamlessly with the surrounding environment and background scenery.

These assets are ideal for populating residential gardens, hotel courtyards, or spa relaxation areas where a tranquil atmosphere is required. They pair well with minimalist terrace furniture, gravel paths, or water features. Professionals searching for authentic oriental landscape details or zen-garden components will find this set versatile for both exterior visualisations and interior courtyard views. The collection effectively bridges the gap between structured architectural elements and natural, organic forms, suitable for high-end hospitality and private residential design projects.
