Industrial Black Metal and Wood Work Desk Scene

This industrial-style SketchUp workstation scene features a black metal and wood desk with integrated shelving and a mesh task chair. This workstation scene comprises a linear work desk, a floor-to-ceiling shelving unit, and an ergonomic task chair. The desk features a natural wood top supported by a black metal frame with side panels crafted from industrial-style steel mesh. The accompanying shelving system uses thin black uprights and cantilevered wood shelves, creating an airy, vertical storage solution. A modern mesh-backed chair with a five-star base and castors completes the setup. Details include a desk lamp and window blinds, providing a realistic, lived-in aesthetic for architectural visualisations and interior design presentations.

The download is a 16.3 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When integrating this SketchUp scene, use the component hierarchy to isolate the desk, chair, and shelving units for individual placement or modification. The model is organised to allow for easy material swaps on the wood surfaces or metal frame finish. For rendering, ensure the mesh panels and shelving uprights are assigned appropriate reflection and bump maps to capture the industrial texture. Use the native SketchUp layers to manage visibility when incorporating this assembly into larger interior project files.

Ideal for residential home offices, studio spaces, or contemporary commercial work environments, this scene provides a ready-to-use workstation for architectural renders. It complements industrial, loft-style, or minimalist interiors effectively. Professionals looking for a cohesive office setup will find this asset useful for staging, floor plan layouts, or detailed interior elevations. It pairs well with other industrial furniture pieces, such as metal floor lamps, exposed brick textures, or concrete wall finishes, helping to establish a professional yet stylistic tone in any workspace design.
