About this asset

This contemporary grey velvet channel-tufted modular sofa for 3ds Max features a sleek integrated side table and decorative cushions. Defined by its distinct vertical channel-tufting, this long modular sofa showcases a sophisticated contemporary aesthetic. The upholstery is a soft grey velvet, providing a tactile finish that complements the clean, linear geometry of the frame. A notable feature is the integrated wooden end table at one extremity, offering a functional surface for accessories or books. The design includes several scatter cushions in varying textures and patterns, which break up the monochromatic scheme. The low-profile silhouette and deep seating area are engineered for comfort, while the overall construction suggests a refined, minimalist approach to modern lounge furniture.

The download is a 61.4 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

The velvet material uses a standard shader, which can be adjusted for specific light reflection properties. Use the provided object layers to isolate the scatter cushions for repositioning or to toggle the integrated table. For optimal renders, apply a subtle noise map to the velvet texture to enhance realism, and ensure your scene lighting highlights the depth of the channel-tufted upholstery.

This sofa serves as an ideal anchor for high-end residential living rooms, modern apartment lounges, or luxury hotel lobbies. Its integrated side table makes it particularly useful in compact spaces where a separate coffee or side table might crowd the floor plan. Designers frequently pair this piece with textured area rugs and minimalist floor lamps to create a balanced, inviting environment.
