About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max model of a grey lacquered wood display cabinet features a closed base and an integrated open-shelf grid. This display cabinet features a solid base with two doors, finished in a matte charcoal grey lacquer. Circular wooden accents are centered on each door, providing a subtle contrast to the uniform grey body. Above the base, an expansive open shelving unit is constructed from thin, vertical and horizontal wood panels, creating a grid-like structure for displaying decorative objects. The overall design prioritizes geometric clarity, with clean lines and a minimalist aesthetic that makes it suitable for modern interior compositions. The unit is presented with various small decorative accessories already positioned on the upper shelves.

The download is a 20.9 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is structured with logical layering, separating the base cabinet from the upper shelving grid for easier material assignment. Users should check the pivot points to ensure correct placement against wall surfaces. The texture mapping for the lacquered surfaces is straightforward, allowing for quick adjustments to glossiness or colour profiles. The model is optimized for efficient viewport navigation, and users can easily merge it into existing scenes as a single block or individual components.
