About this asset

This mid-century style SketchUp bench features grey fabric upholstery, tapered wooden legs, and a draped houndstooth throw blanket. The bench features a rectangular, upholstered seat finished in a textured grey fabric with refined piping along the upper edge. It is supported by four light-toned, splayed wooden legs, characteristic of mid-century design. A draped, monochromatic houndstooth throw adds a layer of visual interest and casual texture to the seat. The proportions are balanced, making it suitable for placement at the foot of a bed or in a transitional living space. The construction is clean and straightforward, focusing on the contrast between the soft fabric seat and the structured, tapered timber legs.

The download is a 6 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is organised as a component, allowing for easy placement and scaling within your scene. Apply your preferred render-ready materials to the fabric and wood surfaces to suit your specific interior palette. The throw is modelled as a separate element, providing flexibility if you need to adjust its position or remove it entirely from the bench seat. Use the native move and rotate tools to position the bench against walls or at the end of bedroom furniture sets.

This bench is an ideal addition to residential bedrooms, walk-in closets, or compact entryways where extra seating is required. It pairs well with contemporary or mid-century interior schemes, providing a functional yet decorative accent. Designers often search for these pieces when specifying bedroom furniture, dressing room storage, or living room fillers. The versatile aesthetic allows it to integrate seamlessly into hospitality projects, such as hotel suites or boutique guest rooms, where it serves as a sophisticated, low-profile seating solution for guests.
