About this asset

Contemporary grey fabric L-shaped modular sofa for 3ds Max, featuring vertical channel tufting and a built-in white side table element. This modular L-shaped sofa features a clean, contemporary aesthetic defined by its vertical channel-tufted upholstery. The seating is upholstered in a textured light grey fabric, providing a uniform, soft appearance across the frame. A notable design detail is the integrated white side table section nestled within the modular configuration, breaking up the seating run. The set includes a variety of scatter cushions in muted tones of charcoal, beige, and brown, alongside a draped throw, adding depth and a sense of lived-in comfort to the structured, low-profile silhouette of the piece.

The download is an 18.6 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised by logical grouping, allowing for easy placement and adjustment within a scene. The fabric textures are mapped to standard material slots, which can be easily swapped or adjusted for custom colour palettes. Users should ensure the pivot point is correctly aligned with the base for seamless integration with floor geometry. When rendering, consider applying a subtle bump map to the fabric to enhance the visual depth of the textile weave under close-up lighting conditions.

This sofa is well-suited for high-end residential living rooms, modern apartment interiors, and boutique hotel lounge areas. Its modular L-shaped geometry is ideal for defining zones in open-plan spaces, particularly when paired with a low-profile coffee table or a large area rug. Professionals looking for versatile seating options will find this piece effective for staging contemporary projects where comfort and clean, architectural lines are required.
