About this asset

This traditional dark wood bookcase is a 3ds Max model featuring a four-door base cabinet and extensive open shelving with decor. This traditional bookcase features a deep, dark wood finish and a symmetrical structure. The lower section consists of four cabinet doors with raised panel detailing and small metal hardware. Above the base, the unit provides several open shelves designed for storage and display. The model comes pre-populated with a curated set of decor objects, including various books, small framed photographs, and decorative spheres, which add a lived-in feel to the shelving. The proportions are tall and narrow, making it suitable for wall-mounted placement in formal interior settings that require classic, structured storage solutions.

The download is a 28.2 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate this 3ds Max asset, load the model into your scene using the merge command to preserve existing object hierarchies. The decor elements are grouped with the main unit; adjust these as needed or move them to a separate layer for better scene management. Apply your preferred materials to the wood surfaces if the default shaders require adjustment for your specific lighting environment, and ensure the pivot point is set to the base for easy positioning against your project walls.

This bookcase is ideal for residential studies, home libraries, or formal office interiors requiring a traditional aesthetic. It pairs well with classic desk setups and leather armchairs, anchoring a space with its dark, substantial presence. Professionals searching for library furniture, display storage, or office cabinetry will find this piece useful for filling empty wall space in high-end residential or executive workspace projects. It functions effectively as a focal point in a home office or as a secondary storage element in a study.
