About this asset

This 3ds Max model features a dark wood plank set within a bed of grey stones, providing a minimalist accent for outdoor scenes. The asset consists of a single, elongated timber plank with a natural dark wood grain, positioned centrally over a bed of small, uniform, rounded grey stones. The stones are arranged in a rectangular perimeter around the plank, creating a clean, structured aesthetic suitable for modern landscaping or architectural visualization. The proportions are balanced, with the plank acting as a focal point against the textured stone base. The wood texture displays a subtle linear grain, while the stones provide a contrasting, organic surface detail that adds depth to the overall composition.

The download is a 29.9 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this object is best utilized as a standalone element in exterior renders or courtyard visualizations. Users should check the pivot point upon insertion to ensure easy placement on ground-plane surfaces. The materials are mapped as separate components, allowing for adjustments to the stone colour or wood finish via the material editor. Grouping the plank and the stone base ensures they remain aligned during scene manipulation, while standard light setups will effectively highlight the contrast between the smooth wood and the granular stone texture.

Integrate this decorative piece into high-end residential landscaping projects, zen-inspired garden designs, or modern terrace visualizations. It serves as an effective pathway detail, a focal point for courtyard corners, or a minimalist hardscaping feature. Professionals looking for clean, contemporary exterior elements will find this asset useful for adding textural variety to ground-plane designs. It pairs well with architectural concrete, minimalist planters, and outdoor lighting, effectively bridging the gap between soft landscaping and structural hardscaping in exterior scene development.
