About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max model features a hybrid white storage cabinet and grey open shelving unit with integrated display lighting. This hybrid storage piece combines closed cabinet sections with an open shelving display. The left side consists of two white panelled-door cupboards separated by an open niche, while the right side features a series of grey shelves for books and decorative items. The entire structure is finished in a clean white frame, contrasting with the grey shelves. Integrated warm lighting illuminates the open sections, creating a focal point for styling. The unit is designed with a slim profile, suitable for wall-adjacent placement, and includes small metallic hardware on the cupboard doors.

The download is an 18.1 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this asset is structured with distinct object layers for the cabinet and shelving components. Users can easily adjust the material IDs to modify the white lacquer or grey finishes. The lighting elements are set up as separate nodes, allowing for quick adjustments to intensity or colour temperature to match the scene's global illumination. The model is scaled to standard residential heights, making it ready for immediate insertion into interior scenes without needing significant geometric modification.

This versatile unit is ideal for modern living rooms, home offices, or study areas where both concealed storage and open display are required. It pairs well with minimalist furniture and can be used to showcase books, artwork, or decorative objects. Designers often specify this style for compact apartments or refined residential projects where efficient floor-to-ceiling storage is necessary.
