About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max armchair features a plush grey leather seat enclosed within a decorative, high-shine gold wire frame. Defined by a striking contrast between soft upholstery and rigid structure, this armchair presents a deep, tufted grey leather cushion set against an intricate, vertical-slat gold metal frame. The frame wraps around the sides and back, creating a semi-enclosed, cocoon-like silhouette that emphasizes both comfort and visual lightness. The seat is supported by a solid, minimalist base that integrates seamlessly with the wire-work aesthetic. Its proportions are generous, intended for lounge environments where a statement piece is required to anchor a seating group or provide a refined focal point in a quiet corner.

The download is an 8.4 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate this model into a 3ds Max scene, use the merge command to import the file into your existing project. The material definitions for the leather and polished metal should be checked for scale and reflection intensity to ensure they react correctly to your scene lighting. Ensure the pivot point is set to the floor base for easy placement. If using V-Ray or Corona, verify that the metallic shaders are mapped correctly to your render engine's standard material library for optimal visual results.

This armchair is well-suited for high-end residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or executive office waiting areas. Its sophisticated material palette pairs effectively with marble flooring, dark timber flooring, or minimalist wall finishes. When searching for this type of asset, designers often look for luxury seating, accent chairs, or metal-framed lounge furniture. It serves as an ideal piece for staging high-concept interior designs where a blend of industrial edge and luxury comfort is desired to define the character of a space.
