About this asset

This contemporary tall bookcase, modelled for 3ds Max, features a dual-column design with walnut-toned frames and grey cabinet accents. Constructed as a floor-standing vertical unit, this bookcase combines open shelving with integrated closed storage. The primary structure is finished in a warm walnut-brown veneer, providing a rich contrast to the muted grey back panels and two solid-fronted cabinet doors. The layout is asymmetrical, featuring varied shelf heights and widths that create a dynamic rhythm. The piece arrives fully populated with decorative accessories including books, vases, and small ornaments, which enhance its visual depth and realistic scale. Its clean, linear geometry makes it a versatile choice for modern interior compositions.

The download is a 19.1 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this unit is organised into logical layers, allowing users to toggle the visibility of the decorative props independently from the carcass. The materials are mapped for standard renderers, with textures applied to the wood grain and matte cabinet surfaces. When importing into a scene, ensure the pivot point is set to the base for easy placement against walls or within recessed joinery. Scale adjustments may be required to suit specific floor-to-ceiling heights in your project.

This bookcase is ideally suited for residential living rooms, home offices, or professional library spaces. Its sophisticated colour palette pairs well with neutral-toned interiors, contemporary furniture, and minimalist decor. Architects and interior designers frequently specify similar storage solutions to provide functional display space while maintaining a clean, organised aesthetic. It is a reliable asset for visualising high-end apartment schemes, study areas, or corporate breakout zones where a blend of open display and concealed storage is required for professional documentation and decor.
