Contemporary Black Leather Low-Profile Modular Sofa

This contemporary 3ds Max sofa features a low-profile modular design in black leather, complete with a throw and accent cushion. Characterised by its expansive, low-slung silhouette, this modular sofa prioritises a clean, minimalist aesthetic. The primary structure is upholstered in smooth black leather, featuring crisp, orthogonal seams that define its modular segments. A central backrest section provides support, while the extended base units offer generous lounging space. The ensemble includes a dark brown rectangular scatter cushion and a draped houndstooth-patterned throw, adding textural contrast to the sleek leather finish. Its proportions are intentionally wide and shallow, making it a distinct piece for open-plan interiors where sightlines remain a primary design consideration.

The download is a 53.9 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into 3ds Max, ensure the scene units are correctly aligned to preserve the intended scale. The file is structured with logical layer naming, allowing for easy selection of the sofa, the throw, and the cushion as independent components. Users should verify that the leather material mapping is set to box or real-world scale to maintain texture fidelity across the seams. Adjusting the subdivision levels on the leather geometry can help achieve smoother curves during close-up render passes.
