About this asset

This contemporary teal velvet armchair, provided as a SketchUp model, features a curved backrest with channel tufting and gold metal legs. Defined by its semi-circular silhouette, this armchair offers a distinctive profile suitable for refined interior schemes. The backrest and interior are upholstered in a rich teal velvet, enhanced by vertical channel tufting that adds depth and texture to the piece. It sits on four slender, tapered legs finished in a metallic gold, providing a clean contrast to the soft upholstery. The seat cushion is integrated into the frame, maintaining a streamlined and uncluttered appearance. With its compact footprint and elegant lines, this chair serves as a functional accent piece for various living spaces.

The download is a 2.3 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When working in SketchUp, ensure this component is placed on a dedicated furniture layer to maintain scene organisation. The model is scaled for standard seating heights; however, users should verify dimensions against project-specific floor plans. Apply custom materials or adjust the existing velvet texture via the material editor to match specific lighting conditions within your rendering engine. Grouping or locking the geometry once positioned helps prevent accidental modification while populating larger interior scenes with multiple assets.

This armchair is well-suited for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or upscale waiting areas where a touch of luxury is required. It pairs effectively with minimalist coffee tables or as a standalone reading chair in a bedroom suite. Professionals searching for elegant accent seating, channel-tufted furniture, or contemporary velvet armchairs will find this model a versatile addition to their library. It integrates seamlessly into high-end design visualisations, providing a sophisticated focal point for both modern and transitional interior project stages.
