Contemporary Sage Green Velvet Curved Armchair with Throw

This 3ds Max armchair features a contemporary curved silhouette upholstered in sage green velvet, complete with a draped throw. Defined by its sculptural, continuous frame, this contemporary armchair offers a deep, rounded seat profile that merges the backrest and armrests into a single cohesive form. The upholstery is a soft-touch sage green velvet, providing a tactile, matte finish that accentuates the piece's organic curves. A contrasting black-and-white houndstooth-patterned throw is included, draped casually over the arm, adding a graphic element to the otherwise monochromatic design. The base is integrated into the main body, creating a solid, grounded appearance that avoids traditional legs in favour of a wrap-around structural aesthetic.

The download is a 7.8 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Within 3ds Max, this model is structured with clean topology, making it efficient for high-quality architectural visualisation. Users should check the modifier stack for any active smoothing or subdivision settings to balance detail with scene performance. The velvet material uses standard physical properties, allowing for easy adjustment of sheen and displacement maps to suit specific lighting conditions. Ensure the pivot point is set to the base for easy placement on floor surfaces, and consider applying a fresh UV map if scaling the chair significantly.
