About this asset

This contemporary modular curved sofa for 3ds Max features an organic, segmented silhouette upholstered in a soft off-white fabric. This modular sofa is defined by its dramatic, sweeping curve composed of repeating, upright upholstered segments. Each section functions as a distinct module, creating a rhythmic, ribbed aesthetic that follows a continuous arc. The upholstery is a clean, off-white fabric, which highlights the soft, rounded geometry and the deep vertical seams between each seat. The base is minimal, with each segment supported by recessed feet that maintain the focus on the undulating form. Its proportions are generous, designed to anchor a large lounge area with a sculptural, high-impact seating arrangement.

The download is a 107 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model. Open it in 3ds Max; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate this sofa into a 3ds Max scene, utilize the native file to maintain pivot point alignment for easy positioning. The modular nature allows for quick snapping of individual segments if custom lengths are required. Ensure the texture mapping is preserved upon import to maintain the fabric grain across the curved surfaces. For optimal results, apply a subtle bump map to the fabric to enhance the visibility of the seams and the soft texture of the upholstery under studio lighting conditions.

Ideal for large-scale residential living rooms or high-end hotel lobbies, this sofa serves as a primary focal point in open-plan interiors. It pairs well with low-profile coffee tables and minimalist area rugs that complement its organic curvature. Professionals searching for statement seating or sculptural lounge furniture will find this piece effective for creating conversational zones in hospitality projects, luxury showrooms, or contemporary art-focused spaces where the furniture is intended to be viewed as a standalone design object.
