About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max armchair features a distinct quilted red velvet upholstery set on a minimal dark metal frame with a cushion. Defined by its dense, geometric quilted texture, this armchair offers a tactile and sculptural aesthetic. The deep red velvet upholstery covers the entire seat, backrest, and integrated armrests, creating a cohesive, monolithic silhouette. The chair is supported by four slim, straight metal legs finished in a dark, matte tone that provides a sharp contrast to the soft, voluminous fabric. A single, smooth white scatter cushion is included, breaking the monochromatic intensity of the red. The proportions are compact yet deep, suggesting a comfortable lounge-style experience suitable for relaxed interior settings.

The download is a 2.1 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this asset is typically handled as a single editable mesh or group. Users should check the pivot point upon import to ensure it is correctly aligned with the floor plane for easy placement. The material slots are assigned to the velvet and metal components, allowing for adjustments to the fabric's reflection or the metal's glossiness to match specific scene lighting. Ensure correct scale before populating larger arrangements to maintain consistent proportions across your project file.

This armchair functions effectively as a statement piece in residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or executive breakout spaces. Its bold colour and rich texture make it a strong candidate for accent seating in contemporary or eclectic interior designs. Pair it with neutral rugs or minimalist side tables to allow the quilted red velvet to stand out. Professionals searching for feature lounge chairs or high-end accent seating for visualisations will find this model versatile for both residential and commercial project proposals.
