About this asset

This contemporary reception desk, modeled in SketchUp, features a striking blend of pink accents and diagonal wood slats. This linear reception desk features a sophisticated multi-material facade. The primary frontage is defined by a large section of diagonal timber slats, providing a rhythmic, textured appearance. Adjacent to this, a smooth, triangular pink panel creates a bold geometric contrast, set against a dark grey metallic frame. The desktop surface is finished in a neutral, dark tone, providing a clean workspace for administrative tasks. The overall construction is robust, balancing natural warmth with a modern industrial edge, suitable for high-traffic entryways where a professional yet design-forward aesthetic is required for visitors.

The download is a 13.2 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this desk into a project, import the component into the SketchUp model and place it using the base corner as a primary snap point. The geometry is organised into logical groups, allowing for easy material replacement or texture scaling on the timber slats. For visualisation, apply high-resolution wood grain textures to the slats and adjust the metallic material properties on the frame to achieve accurate light reflections in a final render.

This piece is ideal for corporate office lobbies, boutique hotel receptions, or modern retail showroom entryways. It pairs well with minimalist seating areas, indoor potted plants, and architectural feature lighting. Designers searching for a statement front-of-house desk will find this model useful for early-stage conceptual planning or final interior renderings. It works effectively as a focal point in open-plan commercial environments, helping to define the transition between public and private zones while maintaining a clean, professional appearance.
