About this asset

This contemporary orange leather curved armchair, provided as a 3ds Max model, features a distinct wrap-around shell design. This contemporary armchair features a striking, continuous curved shell that forms both the backrest and the armrests. Upholstered in a vibrant orange leather, the piece is defined by its deep, architectural profile and minimalist silhouette. The outer edge of the shell is finished with a thin black piping detail, providing a sharp contrast to the warm tone of the leather. A small, square accent cushion with a geometric monochrome pattern is included, adding texture and softness to the seat. The internal seat cushion is integrated into the frame, maintaining a clean and cohesive aesthetic.

The download is a 2.5 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

The model is structured for efficiency within 3ds Max, featuring logically named objects and grouped geometry for easy manipulation. Users can apply custom materials to the leather and fabric components using the standard material editor. The geometry is clean, allowing for smooth subdivision if closer shots are required. Texture mapping for the cushion pattern is pre-applied, though it can be adjusted via the UVW map modifier to suit specific project scales or tiling requirements during final scene assembly and lighting.

Ideal for high-end residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or executive lounge areas, this armchair serves as a bold focal point in any interior. It pairs effectively with minimalist side tables or as a pair facing a central coffee table. Professional designers often search for this type of statement piece when specifying furniture for modern hospitality projects or sophisticated home offices. Its compact yet sculptural form ensures it fits well in both spacious open-plan areas and more intimate, refined seating arrangements.
