About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max armchair features off-white fabric upholstery on a slender metal swivel base with a plaid accent cushion. Defined by its clean, contemporary silhouette, this armchair offers a refined profile with a high, slightly reclined backrest and integrated armrests. The seat is cushioned for comfort, complemented by a removable square throw pillow featuring a classic grey and black plaid textile pattern. The primary upholstery is a neutral off-white fabric with a subtle weave texture. The chair is supported by a minimalist four-point metal base, finished in a dark tone that grounds the light-coloured shell. Its proportions are compact, suitable for both intimate lounge zones and structured office settings.

The download is an 11.8 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is managed as a single object with clear layer separation for the base, upholstery, and cushion components. Users can easily adjust the material settings for the fabric by swapping out the diffuse or bump maps to match specific project colour palettes. The swivel base is modelled at the origin, allowing for quick rotation and placement within a scene. Ensure the pivot point is checked after merging to maintain ease of alignment against walls or within furniture groupings.

This piece is an ideal addition to residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or executive breakout areas where a touch of contemporary comfort is required. It pairs well with minimalist coffee tables or as a standalone reading chair in a bedroom suite. Professionals searching for modern accent seating will find this versatile enough to fit various interior styles. When documenting floor plans, it serves as a reliable placeholder for lounge furniture, providing a realistic scale for interior design layouts and high-end architectural visualisations.
