About this asset

This contemporary fabric rug set for SketchUp contains eight distinct floor coverings featuring varied neutral textures and patterns. This collection comprises eight high-quality area rugs, including six rectangular options with rounded corners and two circular designs. The surface textures range from subtle, fine-lined linear patterns and distressed monochromatic finishes to organic, swirling motifs and structured geometric grids. The palette remains firmly within a sophisticated neutral spectrum, utilising shades of beige, soft grey, earthy brown, and off-white. Each rug is modelled as a flat, thin object, making them ideal for layering directly onto floor surfaces within a 3D environment to add visual warmth and materiality to interior spaces.

The download is an 11.1 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 8 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, these rugs are best utilised as individual components or groups. Users can easily drop these into a project, scaling them to fit specific room dimensions as required. Because they are modelled as thin planar objects, they sit flush with floor finishes, preventing Z-fighting. For visualisations, apply high-resolution fabric textures or adjust the bump maps to enhance the perceived depth of the weave, ensuring the materials complement the surrounding furniture and lighting schemes within the scene.

These versatile floor coverings suit a wide range of interior projects, from minimalist living rooms and contemporary bedrooms to boutique hotel suites and professional office lounges. They pair effectively with modern sofa arrangements, coffee tables, or as accent pieces under dining sets. Professionals searching for textile accessories, soft furnishings, or floor dressing will find these assets essential for adding depth and realism to residential and hospitality renders, helping to define zones within open-plan layouts or simply providing a grounding colour palette.
