Contemporary Natural Wood and Velvet 6-Seater Dining Set

This contemporary 6-seater dining set for 3ds Max features a rectangular wood table and matching velvet-upholstered chairs. This dining set comprises a rectangular table with a light natural wood grain finish and a substantial pedestal base. It is accompanied by six curved-back dining chairs, each supported by a dark metal frame with slender legs and cross-bracing. The seating is upholstered in a mix of beige and mustard-brown velvet, creating a balanced, tonal aesthetic. The chair design features an open backrest profile that wraps around the user, while the table surface provides a wide, clean expanse suitable for formal dining arrangements. The set includes subtle decor accessories such as books and a vase.

The download is a 17.3 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model holding 7 separate objects, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised into logical layers, allowing for easy separation of the table and individual chairs. Users can modify the material IDs to swap the velvet upholstery colours or adjust the wood grain scale on the table surface. The model is scaled to real-world dimensions, making it suitable for direct insertion into interior scenes. Lighting should be configured to highlight the velvet fabric's soft sheen and the wood's natural texture, ensuring realistic reflections on the metal chair frames.

This dining set is ideal for high-end residential dining rooms, luxury kitchen-diner spaces, and boutique hospitality interiors like restaurant dining areas. It pairs well with modern lighting fixtures, such as linear pendants or minimalist chandeliers, to define the eating zone. Designers often search for this type of set when specifying furniture for open-plan living areas where the dining suite acts as a focal point. It integrates seamlessly into contemporary or refined transitional interior design schemes requiring a blend of comfort and style.
