About this asset

This contemporary 3-seater sofa is a 3ds Max model featuring a plush, grey velvet finish with distinctive deep-buttoned tufting. Characterised by its voluminous, soft aesthetic, this 3-seater sofa features a continuous tufted design across the seat, back, and arms. The upholstery is a tactile grey velvet, which creates subtle light play and depth through its gathered, plush texture. The frame is low-profile and rectangular, with a uniform depth that provides a deep seating surface. The absence of visible legs gives the piece a grounded, monolithic appearance, making it well-suited for relaxed, lounge-oriented interiors where comfort and a soft, inviting silhouette are prioritised over formal structural lines.

The download is a 38.5 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised with logical naming conventions for easy scene integration. Users should check the pivot point at the base for accurate placement on floor planes. Given the high-detail nature of the tufted upholstery, it is recommended to apply a turbosmooth or similar modifier if closer camera angles are required. Ensure all textures are correctly mapped within your preferred render engine material editor to maintain the velvet's characteristic sheen and depth.

This sofa is ideal for high-end residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, and sophisticated waiting areas. It pairs well with minimalist coffee tables and textured rugs, providing a soft contrast to harder architectural materials like concrete or polished stone. Designers searching for plush, deep-seated furniture will find this piece effective for creating relaxed, conversational layouts. It works particularly well in contemporary or transitional schemes where comfort is the primary focus, fitting seamlessly into both open-plan apartments and luxury lounge settings.
