About this asset

This contemporary 3-seater sofa, modelled in 3ds Max, features distinctive vertical channel-tufting and a plush grey velvet finish. Defined by its rhythmic vertical channel-tufting that wraps from the seat base up the backrest, this contemporary sofa offers a structured yet comfortable aesthetic. The piece features a deep, continuous seat cushion and integrated armrests, maintaining a clean, low-profile silhouette. Its upholstery is rendered in a soft-textured grey velvet, providing a tactile finish that catches light across the tufted ridges. Three decorative scatter cushions in varying neutral tones and a draped houndstooth-patterned throw are included, adding layers of texture and visual depth to the overall composition of the seating unit.

The download is a 32.4 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this 3ds Max asset into a scene, ensure the model is placed on the floor plane using the pivot point located at the base. The velvet material uses a standard shader setup, allowing for easy adjustment of glossiness or colour maps to match specific interior palettes. The cushions and throw are separate objects, permitting users to reposition them or remove them entirely to suit the desired level of clutter in a living room visualization or architectural interior render.

This sofa is ideal for high-end residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or modern lounge areas where a statement piece is required. Its neutral grey palette makes it highly versatile, pairing well with marble coffee tables, minimalist side tables, or textured wool rugs. Professionals searching for a sophisticated, tactile seating option for contemporary interior projects will find this model suitable for both mid-stage design development and final high-fidelity architectural visualizations requiring detailed furniture assets.
