About this asset

This contemporary grey rectangular area rug for 3ds Max features a subtle, distressed fabric texture suitable for diverse interior spaces. This area rug presents a simple, clean-lined rectangular form with a low-profile pile. The surface is defined by a consistent, fine-grained fabric weave that exhibits subtle tonal variations in its grey colouration, suggesting a distressed or weathered aesthetic. The edges are finished with a clean, straight-cut binding, ensuring a sharp profile when placed on hard floor surfaces. Its neutral palette and understated pattern allow it to integrate seamlessly into a variety of design schemes without overwhelming the surrounding furniture or architectural elements. The asset provides a realistic textile foundation for interior renders.

The download is a 3.5 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this rug is best deployed as a flat plane or thin box primitive to ensure proper interaction with floor materials. Users should apply the provided texture maps to the diffuse and bump slots to capture the fine weave detail effectively. Scaling should be adjusted in the object properties to match specific room dimensions, while ensuring the UV mapping is set to box or plane to maintain consistent scale across the surface area of the rug.

Ideal for residential living rooms, bedrooms, and home offices, this rug anchors seating groups and provides a soft textural contrast to hardwood, stone, or polished concrete flooring. It functions well in hospitality settings such as hotel suites or lounge areas, where a neutral, high-quality floor covering is required. Professionals often search for this asset when looking for versatile textile floor finishes that pair effectively with modern furniture, minimalist decor, or contemporary interior layouts, particularly during the final stages of visualisation projects.
